Frequently Asked Questions

Officially 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. That said, I work around my clients' schedules whenever possible.

 

Once we confirm that we are available for your date and time, we will meet at our Bozeman studio or via Zoom for you out-of-town folks for a free pre-session consultation.  If we decide to move forward, a $50 non-refundable advance fee is required along with your signed contract. Full payment is due the day of your session.

 

 

 

 

The usual cash, check, or credit card. Your creation fee balance is due the day of the session, and wall art orders are typically paid at your ordering session. Wall art payments can be broken up into equal monthly payments. We also offer GIFT CARDS which can be applied towards wall art, albums, or help pay for your photography. 

 

Portrait sessions include travel within 50 miles of Bozeman.

Portrait sessions, your images will be ready to view at your design and ordering session in 10 - 14 days.

Wall art is delivered in 2 - 4 weeks, depending on the complexity.

Albums  4 - 6 weeks.

 

 

 

The short answer is any way you'd like. 

Wall art and albums are available for pick up at the studio or can be shipped anywhere.

You will also receive matching social media-sized digital images of every photograph used in your wall art and album order. Your social media images are delivered by download after your reveal and order session. 

 

 

Creation Fee/Session Fee: If you are not happy with the results of your photo session, we will refund your money.

Art: Our wall art and albums are guaranteed for five years after purchase. If your art is defective, we will replace it as closely to the original as possible.

That said: At 406 Photo, we believe in the power of print! There is nothing more meaningful than to actually have physical photographs of you and the ones you love. Imagine sitting down to look at the photos of your memories with your children and grandchildren years from now. Will Thumb-drives still be a usable technology? Will you be able to find them on that hard drive or the Cloud? Albums and wall art will be treasured forever, and so will your special memories!

 

You will receive matching free Social Media-Optimized Digital Images of all the images used in your wall art and album for use on social media.

 

 

A typical portrait session is curated to 15-50 images.

 

 

 

 

We include matching social media-optimized digital images of every photograph used in your wall art or album order. However, selling digital files is not how we best serve our clients. 

I will let you in on a little secret: Most photography clients who purchase digital files never actually do anything with them, and the very few who do are rarely happy with the results. Printing high-quality wall art is not easy. Most photo labs have poor quality control and produce inconsistent results. Most computer monitors are not calibrated, resulting in prints that often have color casts or are too light or dark.
